Hi, this is Hiroshi from Demuner Auto. I just wanted to inform our customers and people who we have been working with that I will be leaving the auto industry to pursue a career in Cloud Security.
I originally started in August of 2016 here when it used to be Hiro’s Japanese Auto. Hiro was kind enough to take me in as a service technician and teach me from scratch as well as learning from the other mechanics. I had continued to gain hands on experience for 3 years working on Japanese vehicles.

Unfortunately in June of 2019, Hiro had suffered a stroke and became unable to work or even move around without assistance. I stepped in to fill the role as the manager in the office while we tried to navigate through the next three years including the Covid shutdown where we were open for the entire duration. I learned a lot being in the middle of operations between the mechanics, customers, and parts suppliers. My knowledge with Japanese vehicles has grown further and I had become more confident providing guidance and solutions for customers and their specific issues.
In June of 2022, Hiro and his wife had finally been able to retire with the help of their son in law passing along the shop to the Demuner family. Hiro now resides in Hawaii where he can enjoy the rest of his days leading a slow life gardening at his home. The Demuner family originally had a shop in LA where they performed many repairs and maintenance. Wanting to move and change scenery, they sold their shop down in LA and moved up here in Poulsbo to transition and run this shop for the community.
There have been a lot of challenges that we have faced when transitioning as Demuner Auto Repair, but we have overcome them one by one. We have continued to provide 5 star services to our customers old and new. As a shop, we have branched out and are willing to accept more vehicles outside of just Japanese. Our list of services have grown as well including selling tires and balancing. The goal is to always grow and achieve higher heights while providing the same quality for our customers.
In my 9 years of working here, I have learned many things as a technician and manager. The Demuner family and my coworkers have continued to treat me well since the shop transition. Through these years I have also realized that my interests lie outside of the auto industry, and even though it was a hard decision to leave, I want to pursue my own interests in a field that I am more interested in working in. My goal is to start out in an entry level role in IT and then work my way into a Cloud Security role. I will be excited to take this step into another career and see how far I can go.
I appreciated my time here at this shop and all of the people I have met. I want to wish the shop, customers, and everyone else we have worked with all the best for the future.
Thank you everyone for a wonderful 9 years here.
